The Cayman Islands consist of a group of three islands in the Caribbean, 480 miles south east of Miami. The main island, Grand Cayman, with an area of 200 sq km, is situated south of Florida. Total area of all the three islands is 260 sq km.

The islands have semi tropical climate with mild, dry winters with temperature between 65°F and 75°F and warm summers with temperatures between 75°F and 85°F. Rainfall is light between the months of November to April which is the winter season.

The population of the three islands is approximately 50,000 people of mixed origin, the grand majority of which reside on Grand Cayman. The official and spoken language is English.
