UCITS

An EU Directive establishing a common regulatory regime for Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities, i.e. funds under UCITS can market themselves throughout the EU; the investments are limited to those securities listed on public stock exchanges. The UCITS legislation is used by many mutual funds in Europe.
