Power of court to order company to be struck off and dissolved
(1) If, on the application of the Registrar, it appears to the court that, having regard to the assets (if any) of a company or for other reason, it would not be appropriate to wind up the company, the court may order that the company be struck off the register and dissolved, and the company shall, as from the date of the order, be dissolved accordingly.
(2) Section 291(7) shall apply in relation to a company dissolved under this section as it applies to a company dissolved under that section.
