Seychelles Offshore Legislation Acts

International Business Companies Act, 1994 - Legislative act regulating registration and functioning of Seychelles International Business Companies. Enacted in 1994.

Companies (Special Licences) Act, 2003 - Legislative act regulating company functioning, procedures of registration, obtaining and revocation of Special licence, taxation and secrecy matters, exemptions and fees. Enacted in 2003.

Companies Ordinance, 1972 - Legislative act regulating Seychelles company incorporation, alteration, winding-up, management and administration, setting out general provisions. Enacted in 1972 and regulating also BVI overseas companies prior International Business Companies Act, 1994.

Limited Partnerships Act, 2003 - Legislative act regulating registration and functioning of limited partnerships, including interpretation and modifications of general law, changes in registered particulars, legal proceedings, fees and exemptions. Enacted in 2003.

International Trusts Act, 1994 (Act 26 of 1994) - Legislative act regulating creation of international trusts, appointment, duties, general powers and liability of trustees, interests and powers of protective trusts, failure and termination issues. Enacted in 1994.

Mutual Fund Act, 1997 - Legislative act regulating Seychelles mutual funds - defining conditions for a mutual fund to trade in Seychelles, setting out licensing and audit requirements, describing mutual fund administration and supervision. Enacted in 1997.

Interactive Gambling Act, 2003 - Legislative act that regulates interactive gambling and provides for connected matters. Describes interactive gambling licensing in Seychelles, audit and disclosure requirements, limitations and other regulations. Enacted in 2003.

Financial Institutions Act, 2004 -

Legislative act that repeals and replaces the Financial Institutions Act, 1984 and regulates Seychelles financial institution licensing and management, amalgamation, transfer and winding up, seizure by central bank, defines capital and prudential requirements. Enacted in 2004.

The new agreement will strengthen the existing economic relationship between the two countries and will provide an inducement to people of both countries to draw their attention to increasing investment, trade and employment opportunities.
